Idk if people have seen this already but my friend just forwarded me the link.   Also, this is why I fucking hate internet detectives who think they’re Sherlock Holmes with a keyboard.   When you’re already searching for ways to prove someone wrong like that, realize that it means you have a strong bias at play that is going to mess up your judgment.  

And like I said to my friend, I don’t even care if she actually HAD been making it up and had a fake bruise- the comments she received were unbelievably horrible and unwarranted (shown at bottom).    It’s not like her actions were accusing a specific person as a crime, so unlike what some of her death mob was saying, she could not have been someone “trying to put away an innocent man for life” because of her “desires for popularity on the internet.”   And in a hypothetical situation where someone would makeup it on, it’s entirely possible to still be genuine while doing it- what if she was painting her face in solidarity with what a friend, sister, etc. went through?  Wow, what a monster that person would be, indeed. 

Doesn’t this show how much people desire to silence the victim before they’ve even been given a chance to speak??

The bizarre crazy-ass backlash and overreaction of every White-Cis-Middle Class Internet Dudes for the past However Long Women Have Pointed Out Abuse is insane. Absolutely insane. This happens every time a lady fights back about something in a patriarchal world in any kind of masculinized space (reddit, 4chan, The Internet) !

No but seriously, this is infuriating. I don’t understand why people have to react to this in such an unreasonable, angry, and offended manner. This is disgusting, and there is no reason for reactions like this.

I am reminded of a kid who gets punched on a playground, cries about it, so all the kids walk over to start beating the kid up. Because how dare that kid complain about something shitty that someone else caused.

Enough is enough. I’m sick of this bullshit. As a woman, yes, but moreover, as a fucking human being who respects other human beings.
